How our quotes, payments, guarantees and site works operate.
About these terms
These terms apply to work carried out by North Wales Roof Repairs, owned by William, of High St, Brynsiencyn, Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, LL61 6AX. They sit alongside the written quote you receive; where the quote is more specific, the quote applies.
Surveys and quotes
Roof surveys and quotes are free and carry no obligation. We aim to issue the quote the same day as the site visit or the day after.
Quotes are fixed-price rather than day-rate. If work is requested that falls outside the scope of the quote, or hidden defects are uncovered once the roof is opened up, we will tell you before proceeding and agree any additional cost with you first.
Payment
A deposit is payable to secure your date, a mid-job payment falls due during the works, and the balance is payable on completion. All major payment methods are accepted.
Emergency and storm-damage call-outs are chargeable, typically £150–£250 depending on the time of day and your location. This is separate from any repair work subsequently agreed.
Guarantees
All work carries a workmanship guarantee. New roofs are guaranteed for 25 years.
On flat roofs, the warranty length depends on the manufacturer system installed; that manufacturer warranty is passed on to you.
Guarantees cover our workmanship and do not extend to damage caused by storm events, third-party works, structural movement, or lack of reasonable maintenance.
Access, scaffolding and site
We need safe access to the property and, where relevant, permission to position scaffolding or towers. We use our own scaffolding towers on smaller jobs to keep costs down; the scale and safety requirements of the job determine when full scaffolding is required.
We clear our waste and leave the site tidy on completion.
Scheduling and weather
Roofing is weather-dependent. Where conditions make work unsafe or would compromise quality, we will reschedule and keep you informed. Deposits already paid remain allocated to your job.
Cancellation
You may cancel before works begin; where materials have been ordered specifically for your job or work has already started, reasonable costs incurred to that point are payable.
Insurance and liability
We hold public liability insurance covering the owner and our employees while working on your property. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
